Hydrophobic Coatings
  • SOLA's hydrophobic coatings prohibit the absorption of liquids such as water and oils on the lens surface. This also results in a lens that is easier to clean and care for.

Thin Film Coating: Hydrophobic

Hydrophobic coating is a thin film coating produced by a vacuum or dipping process. Sola hydrophobic coating is produced by vacuum process.

This coating permits drops of water to slip from the front surface of the lens providing clear vision without distortion.

The water drop takes a spherical shape and thus rolls from the surface without leaving any mark.

Hydrophobic coating is suitable for PC and CR-39 lenses.
